The Baklawa Magic Wrap solution enables packers to simply and economically produce on-site, on a "Just-In-Time" basis, top quality plastic sheets made of individual inflated air cells, suitable for all packaging requirements including wrapping, cushioning and void filling.

The B.M.W. solution is composed of:
1. The B.M.W. machine for on-site sheet production.
2. The B.M.W. specially designed plastic rolls for use with the B.M.W. machine.

The B.M.W. is the machine stationed at the packaging point. It produces, on demand, wrapping sheets from our specially designed B.M.W. plastic rolls by inflating and sealing the air between two plastic layers, forming an outstanding packaging material. The B.M.W. machine is designed to work 24 hours, 365 days a year. Except for short scheduled maintenance, the B.M.W. is designed to provide users with a reliable and long life service. The B.M.W. is a "plug & play" machine that requires only a standard electrical outlet and is not dependent on external air pressure. Operation is quick and easy: simply load a pre-weld roll on one end, switch on the B.M.W. machine and watch the inflated B.M.W. sheet come out from the other side. The B.M.W. can also be programmed to automatically cut sheets according to specified lengths and quantities. For example, with a few simple inputs in the digital control panel, it can be programmed to produce 1000 sheets of 3 feet in length each.

The B.M.W. Plastic Rolls are the proprietary designed pre-welded rolls that Nova-Tek provides for use with the on-site machine. These rolls are loaded on the B.M.W. machine and inflated to 200 times their deflated thickness to form an ideal packaging material.

There are many advantages to the B.M.W. over standard bubble wrap, including bubble shape, bubble size, bubble strength and price.

Bubble shape - The shape of the B.M.W. air cells is rhombus rather than round. This shape provides a larger contact surface and easy folding properties.

Bubble size - The standard sizes of the B.M.W. bubble wrap range from 1/4" width by 1" length to 4" by 4" thus providing the ability to wrap large and small objects. The thickness is similar to standard bubble wrap of comparable dimensions.

Bubble strength - The B.M.W. is stronger relative to standard bubble wrap. The extra strength is derived from the production method. When standard bubble wrap is produced, the individual cells are vacuum sucked, the upper layer of the bubble is distorted, becoming thinner and weaker. The Baklawa shaped air cells created by the B.M.W. are inflated, rather than vacuum sucked, resulting in an even material surface thickness free of distortions and of constant strength.

Bubble price - The B.M.W. is more economical than standard bubble wrap mostly due to significant savings in logistics, storage space and the use of standard PE as raw material.

Protection - The B.M.W. sheet provides excellent protection due to the unique production method, shape and size of our sheet. If an air cell is punctured, the adjacent cells remain inflated and secure continuous protection for packed products.

Logistics simplicity - Materials such as paper, polystyrene and polyurethane are of fixed volume and require to be transported from the factory to the point of packaging. One of the significant advantages of the B.M.W. is in the fact that at the packaging point the packers can inflate the material to over 200 times the volume of the deflated pre-welded plastic roll. This advantage of the B.M.W. dramatically reduces costs associated with the complicated logistics of using wrapping material. With the B.M.W., companies can virtually eliminate warehouse storage space, use of trucks and other transportation means. Storage, machinery and personnel, as well as the associated management attention are also dramatically reduced.

JIT Production - The B.M.W. solution allows producers and packers to substantially reduce inventories of bubble wrap. With the B.M.W. solution wrapping sheets are produced only when needed and at the packaging point. The use of conventional bubble wrap forces packers to order large quantities of material and to commit more money, storage space and labor hours.

Environmentally friendly - The plastic used on the B.M.W. is PE based which is degradable. This is imperative in countries where the environmental factor is an increasingly important issue. Other protective materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane are not degradable.

The throughput of the B.M.W. is approximately 10 feet (3 meters) per minute. This translates to approximately 1,100 square feet per hour, or over 8,000 square feet in an 8-hour shift. Each of our rolls is 1000 feet long and contains a total of 2000 Sqf.

The B.M.W. is a very simple machine to operate. Any production line worker can easily handle the task.

In less than one hour of training on the B.M.W., any operator can run the machine. The training includes mounting the plastic roll on the B.M.W., inserting the air pipe into the plastic sheet, turning the B.M.W. "On" and "Off" and entering in the correct code and features in the control panel.

Each customer is assigned to a Nova-Tek's certified support distributor that provides technical support.
